Morrow County, Ohio. Morrow County's history dates back even before its incorporation. Ohio was once home to several different Indian Tribes. These tribes were mound builders. In Morrow County some of these magnificent mounds have been found. However, a few of them had been demolished without the individuals realizing the historical significance of the mounds.
The Indians buried the dead in large mounds. Some have even been formed into large land masses. Inside these mounds, including one near Chesterville school trinkets from much earlier times have been found buried.
Mount Gilead is the county seat of Morrow County. It is also the most populous area, in this largely rural county.
If you are looking for beautiful, county living then Morrow County is the place to go. There are plenty of small, slowly developing towns, and homes to move into in the country, far from any other human inhabitant.
