Shawnee, Ohio. This town was named for the Shawnee whom were driven from Southern Ohio by the Iroquois Indians. They eventually returned but soon were driven from the land again. Approximately 800 Shawnee Indians were thought to live in this region.

Shawnee has everything you can imagine a small town will have. Though it is not the town everyone has heard of, if you live there, everyone will know your name. Friendly faces, and down home living make Shawnee, a quaint, quiet, peaceful place to live.

Located in rural Ohio, despite small time living, Shawnee, is just a short drive away from the big city. Shawnee is just a 10 minute drive from I-75, a half hour drive, north from Dayton, Ohio, and an hour drive from the capital of Ohio, Columbus.

Shawnee is known for its beautiful sunsets, its pleasing climate, and for the small town life that is close enough to the city to give you the best of both worlds. If you're looking for entertainment there is plenty nearby to please even the most finicky family member.
